Insurance / Liability
The voluntary participation of students in general university sport is considered as insured when the following conditions are met:

      a.  The course offered must be considered as an official University Sport activity.

      b.  The general university sport must be arranged by the university itself or by a university related institution

      c.  The sport activity must be performed within the organized exercise facility, that means during the appointed time and under supervision of a qualified trainer.

A sporting accident for an employee of the BTU Cottbus is considered as a working accident and is therefore insured when the sporting activity takes place as part of an onsite sport group. Where applicable enquiries should be made of the ZEH to determine if the desired activity fulfills this condition.
As a rule special civil service accident insurance regulations apply to civil servants
