Code of Conduct
BTU Cottbus would like for foreign students to feel comfortable at the university. Thus, BTU joined the Code of Conduct (Nationalen Kodex für das Ausländerstudium an deutschen Hochschulen). The participating universities aim with this Code to ensure as much as possible that international students and prospective students have the same rights as German students or equated EU students. They also commit to offering good advice and special support during the course fo studies.
Therefore, they agree on a mutal standard of quality. The Code defines the admission procedure and other standards which you as a student of BTU can expect regarding academic, linguistic and social support (plus follow-up services).
Within the framework of the Code of Conduct, BTU Cottbus has set up an ombudsman (confidential liaison):
Ms. Dr. Friederike Schulz
Director Referat Education and Ombudsman 'Code of Conduct'
Room: main building 1.27
Phone: +49 (0)355 – 692233

In the case of the following problems please contact the ombudsman:
- You think that employees of BTU or UniAssist e.V. have offended the regulations of the Code through their actions.
