The Bureau of International Studies (BIS) is the centre of organisation for all international study programmes at BTU Cottbus. 
The programme coordinators in this office are the contact persons for prospective students regarding the contents of study programmes and ensure smooth programme flow for current students.

Services

The Bureau of International Studies provides various services.

For prospective students we provide information on the contents and schedules of the international study programmes at BTU Cottbus. We also provide information on the application procedure and are available to provide assistance when requested. 

For current students of our international study programmes we provide counselling regarding specific issues in courses, and help students with their programme schedules.

For PhD students in our international programmes we help prepare the schedules of the structured PhD programmes and advise PhD students on specific matters related to their programmes. We prepare a yearly evaluation of the PhD students and help to formulate funding proposals for the activities of the PhD programmes (such as summer schools). 

General services of the Bureau of International Studies include the preparation of curricula and semester schedules for the study programmes.We are the contact persons for the university administration and professors regarding the international study programmes and graduate schools. 

We ensure the scope of lectures each semester and assist programme directors in all technical and administrative questions regarding the study programmes.
