The project „Dependable Cyber Physical Systems – DCPS” will be funded within the programme „Strategische Partnerschaften und Thematische Netzwerke“ (BMBF, DAAD)
The project „Dependable Cyber Physical Systems – DCPS”, coordinated by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heinrich T. Vierhaus (Lehrstuhl Technische Informatik), is organizing the international cooperation in research and training for high-dependable Hardware systems. At the BTU chairs of informatics, physics and automation engineering are involved. Partner are the Technical University in Poznań and the Silesian TU in Gliwice (Poland), the TU Liberec (Czech Republic) and the TU Tallinn (Estonia). The aim of the cooperation is the organization of joined research and joined teaching offers for Master students as well as PhD students.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supports the mentoring concept of the International Graduate School
Internationalisation and promotion of young researchers are the essential objectives of the International Graduate School (IGS) of BTU Cottbus. The IGS was established in 2007 and comprises at present six so called Graduate Classes. With the support of the Scholarship and Mentoring Programme (STIBET) of the DAAD the IGS can broaden its scope of activities to all doctoral and PhD students at BTU Cottbus. With funding from the Federal Foreign Office the DAAD supports for the period 2013-2015 the mentoring concept of the IGS that entails workshops in the context of the Qualification Programme as well as Teaching and Research Assistantships, which seek to integrate international doctoral and PhD students in teaching and research activities. Furthermore, the IGS supports international mentors who support the IGS in the implementation of these activities.

Target Agreement extended till the end of 2013
The objective agreement between the MWFK Brandenburg and the BTU Cottbus from 2010 till 2012 was exented for one year. The objectives of the agreement will be continued as agreed. Based on this, the agreement between the president of the BTU and the classes of the International Graduate School will be extendend till 31 December 2013.

Poster presentation on Research Day closed with three happy awardees
During the 2. Research day at the BTU Cottbus "Wissen schafft Freu(n)de – Forschung macht Spaß" within the Energy Week, the scholarship holders presented the Status Quo of their research on posters. From more than 50 posters a jury selected the best three:
