IPID Project of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)

Funding - Program IPID, Line2: The establishment of  PhD courses and programs in cooperation with foreign universities. 

Since 2007, BTU Cottbus has developed a program of tutorials, workshops and seminars in the area of “dependable embedded and distributed hardware / software systems” in cooperation with external partners:

- Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia)

- Technical University of Liberec (Czech Republic)

- Poznan University of Technology (Poland).

From the summer of 2012, BTU starts to offer a new educational program towards a “Ph. D. in dependable hardware / software systems”. Studies include s focused set of tutorials and seminars, but also in-depth research under guidance of a BTU professor.

Cooperation with researchers from partner universities is highly encouraged, and the mutual support of Ph. D. research by participating professors from partner universities is promoted.

Prospective students may apply at DAAD for grants individually (except German citizens).
