DAAD-SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GERMAN GRADUATES

  • Scholarship for a year for additional, further and postgraduate studies as well as for research (except plans for dissertations)
    The scholarships are offered for graduates and doctoral candidates, who plan on an additional, further or postgraduate study abroad. Furthermore, graduates of all fields can apply within this programme for an accredited MBA scholarship, which is also offered as a full-time study programme. Moreover, scholarships for research abroad are granted, which must not be connected to doctoral studies. In some countries field research and archival works are also possible, even if they do not require the enrolment at a university. You will be financially supported for a study year. In exceptional cases this may be extended from 18 to 24 months.
  • studying abroad at a foreign university in a Master's degree programme
    The DAAD offers within the year scholarships also scholarships for one semester. This offer applies to students, who aim for their Master's degree. Supported are stays abroad outside of Western Europe, i.e. all Western European member states of "EU der 15" as well as Liechtenstein, Iceland, Malta, Norway, Switzerland and Cyprus are excluded from the scholarships. Moreover, the DAAD sets value on an agreement between home and host university, so that study schedules and recognition of course achievements are regulated in advance. Travel expenses and half of the study fees will be financed by the DAAD and you will be granted an additional monthly scholarship rate for your stay on-site. You will be financially supported for the duration of one semester (at least 3 months).
