Internship Abroad
BTU students can also do an internship abroad. An internship abroad can be integrated into your study at different times. A mandatory internship as well as a voluntary internship can be made at BTU. In some study courses an internship is part of the curriculum and can also be completed abroad.
The time you need for the preparation is not as long as a study semester abroad. Duration and date are also more flexible.

- ERASMUS-Internship in Europe (for students)
- IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) - is the world largest intern exchange organisation for students, who study natural science, engineering, or agriculture and forestry.
- Career Center - of BTU Cottbus helps students to find internships. Current offers and further information can be found on their internet site
External Internship offers:
- Carlo Schmid Programm - of the DAAD for internships in international organisations and EU - institutions
- ZAV (Internationale Arbeitsvermittlung) - Internships in internationalen organisations, student employment
- AIESEC - largest international student organisation that arranges internships in economic and management sectors as well as social and technological domains for students
- InWEnt (Internationale Weiterbildung und Entwicklung gGmbH) - InWEnt is a worldwide business for personnel development,further training and dialogue. InWEnt works on behalf of the Federal Government, the German economy and the German states to offer students various programmes to gain experiences abroad:
- ASA-Programme - offers internships in Africa, Asia, South America, South East Europe for three months
- GTZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit) - the GTZ offers various internship opportunities in developing countries
- Deutsche Außenhandelskammern (AHK) - AHKs can be found in countries that are of special interest to the German economy. AHKs provide services that support German and local businesses. Nearly all AHKs offer internships.
