The networking partner and a non-profit society CEBra e. V. completes the structure of the central scientific institution at BTU Cottbus and market orientated company CEBra GmbH (Ltd.) very well.
CEBra e. V. is the owner of the brand and logo und a promoter of several inter disciplinary projects together with industry in the field of energy. Research and development at CEBra e. V. aim at the development of future technologies along the whole process line of energy technology and supply. This process line, which consists of energy acquisition, transformation, distribution and application, is closely connected to the excellence of CEBra professorships at BTU Cottbus. In this context the central task of this technology orientated society is to close the gap between research and a market. Projects with public, private and/or industry partnerships have to transfer application as well as basic research at BTU to functioning and market applications and tools.
Besides the ongoing and past projects the results of the successful networking of CEBra e. V. is the establishment of close contacts between partner companies as well as their close cooperation with BTU concerning scientific and educational challenges. Contracts of cooperation are signed with Vattenfall Europe Generation AG & Co. KG, Vattenfall Europe Transmission, Siemens PTD and PG and a number of successful companies dealing with Renewables, for instance wind, where close contacts are held to Enertrag.
In the state of Brandenburg CEBra e. V. coordinates the Brandenburg network in energy economics and energy technology. This makes CEBra e. V. to an influential player in putting energy and economic policy of the state of Brandenburg into action and in building up the energy cluster.
The structure of the non profit society is based on its statute and its order of subscription and business. Members by statute are the Brandenburg ministry of economics, the ministry of science, research and culture and the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU). Orderly members derive from public organisations, the city of Cottbus and the local chamber of commerce and industry as well as from important companies, SME and private persons mainly of the state of Brandenburg and Berlin.
CEBra e. V. is open to all companies and persons concerned with the field of energy. A membership is not necessarily combined with project contracts.
