Welcome to Operational Data Processing
The field of operational data processing of ICMC is a service provider for the areas and processes of the university, where data and operations are closely linked. There the priorities are punctuality, highest level of operational safety and auditing capability which ensure data security and data protection. And although the introduction of innovative technologies and processes is not our main objective, we welcome such opportunities.
A university is quite flexible in defining its research and educational priorities, but it should be “rigid” when referring to administrative services. The terms quality and accuracy of services refer to:
- Preciseness and long-time predictability
- Availability
- Maintenance and updating
- Security, privacy, robustness, efficiency and accountability
- Integration of existing and new systems (locally, regionally, nationally)
The services offered here are suited for people without special computer skills and data processing interests. Our services are focused on operation and provision of library-related computer applications and IT support for administrative processes (management of university administration, personnel, financial and supplies management, etc.). Moreover, the operational data processing (BDV) group is providing hardware and software support for the university administration as well as for user's of ICMC. This includes PC-service, hotline, workflow, etc.
