Registration
The University Library is a scientific library open to the public. Its stocks and services applies to studies, researches and teaching at BTU Cottbus.
Registration is possible for all persons from the age of 16 years on, by presentation of a valid pass or a coequal document.
For students additionally the presentation of their valid student identity card is necessary.
By signing the registration form, users confirm acceptance of the current University Library's usage regulations and pledge to compliance. |

Registration and usage of the library
- Is basically free of charge for students and members of Brandenburg universities.
- For external users an annual fee of 25 Euro will be charged.
- School students, handicapped persons, unemployed persons and welfare recipients may claim a reduction by presenting a verification. In this case the annual fee is 10 Euro.
The library card issued in the course of registration entitles the holder to:
- Free usage of library stocks
- Internet access up to a free download volume of 100 MB per month (students with BTU account: 10 GB)
- Media loan / inter-library loan
- Access to library services, such as licensed databases and electronic full-texts
