BTU Root CA
Announcement: Since April 2010 the BTU Root CA won't issue any new certificates anymore. Already issued certificates may be used as long as they are valid.
New certifcates will be issued by the BTU CA Global only (i.e. DFN-PKI).
Features:
- A self signed certificate (root certificate) constitutes the base for the Root-CA.
- For the Root-CA a own policy takes effect.
- Issued client certificates will be valid for 3 years, no re-certifications. After a certificate expires, one need to apply for a new one.
- There won't be no server certificates issued by this CA.
- The application process takes place online and is made accessible through the
BTU-Account portal. - If agreed to, the certificate's public part will be published in the BTU directory.
