Testing and Inspection Works
Testing and supervising activities of the Chair
According to DIN 1054, the Institute accomplishes, with its modern equipment, suitability tests on ground anchors and load tests on foundation elements.
- permanent and short-term anchoring (DIN 4125 or DIN EN 1537)
- prestressed piles (DIN 4128 or DIN EN 14199)
- driven piles (DIN 4026)
- drilled piles (DIN 4014 and DIN EN 1536) -Test based on EA - also high requirements piles
- sheet pile
- soil nailing (DIN EN 14490)
- rock bolts (DIN EN 21521)
The chair is certified by the
DIBt (German Institute for Building Technology) for the supervision of prestressed ground anchors’ installations and permanent anchoring’s suitability tests (DIN 4125).
Our chair owns a large assortment of testing equipment, consisting of:
- several forms of hollow piston cylinder and piston presses
- regulated and non-regulated hydraulic aggregates
- load cells in appropriated nominal load
- electrical and mechanical instruments for distance measurement
Load tests up to 9000 kN have already been realized and they are possible up to a load of 12 000 kN. Our Chair is able to accomplish these load tests independently.
