Architecture (Bachelor of Science)
Architects are actively involved in ‘building culture’; they are charged with responsibilities vis-à-vis society at large, their clients and the environment. After completion of the Bachelor programme, graduates develop ideas and draft designs, which in cooperation with the responsible architects are then realised and implemented in real space and tangible structures. Bachelor studies at the BTU impart the skills that are required for our graduates to work in architectural firms of the highest standards.
""We reject all aesthetic speculation, all doctrine, all formalism. Architecture is the will of an epoch translated into space; living, changing, new. Not yesterday, not tomorrow, only today can be given form. Only this kind of building will be creative.""
Mies van der Rohe, 1923
Architects prepare and accompany the building process; their tasks include building and construction strategies in design, technical, ecological and social planning problems. In so doing, they actively shape building culture.
