Civil Engineering (Master of Science)
Civil Engineering deals with the design, modelling, calculation, implementation, and operation of complex structural systems – from demanding industrial complexes to settled areas and networked transport facilities. Masters of Science in Civil Engineering are systems engineers with an orientation in this field; they structure, organise, and implement interdisciplinary building tasks in teams and successfully put these skills at the disposal of international companies.
The Master programme strengthens knowledge of basic mathematical-scientific principles, and concentrates on the specialist fields of information processing in the areas of structural engineering, construction management, construction, and planning laws; it offers the following profile areas in
- Transport (road/rail)
- Soil/Water
- Energy/Environment/City
which students can arrange individually on the basis of a broad selection of elective courses.
