Interpretation and Communication of Architecture (Master of Arts)

This new Master programme offered by the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning at Brandenburg University of Technology is made to measure for graduates of advanced studies programmes who want to focus professionally on the communication of Architecture and the City to the public in visual and verbal terms.

The courses of the programme encompass fundamental scientific knowledge from media theory, communication psychology, aesthetics and art theory, theory of culture and history of architecture, as well as applied disciplines like management, museology, or visual and verbal representation. Practical projects form an important third part, in which a number of conceptual presentation and mediation strategies can be applied to promote Architecture and the City in various situations, as well as researching and practicing how to properly exploit and design the most suitable media.

The study programme is conducted with a practical orientation in close cooperation with several institutions actively involved in the promotion of Architecture and the City.
