Certificate "International Welding Engineer"
The training program of the internationally recognised certificate International/European Welding Engineer (IWE) is divided into three modules:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Welding Engineering (83 h)
Intermediate Exam
Module 2: Practical Training (60 h)
Module 3: Advanced Training in Welding (298 h)
Final Examination for the certificate International/European Welding Engineer (IWE)
Students of BTUC can complete Module 1: Fundamentals of Welding Engineering of the certificate programme by successfully participating in the following lecture courses:
- Joining (Fügetechnik)
- Joining of Light Weight Constuctions (Leichtbaufügetechnik)
- Metallurgy of Joining (Werkstoffgerechtes Fügen)
- Special Joining Technology (Spezielle Fügetechnik)
After passing the intermediate exam, the participants are allowed to take part in module 2 and 3 of the certificate programme.
The qualification "International Welding Engineer offers excellent career prospects on the national and international job market.
