Introduction of the research field Lean Logistics

A huge number of methods and instruments of Lean Production find comprehensive use in production areas. During the last years the non-production areas were also viewed increasingly, because the realisation of a lean enterprise can only succeed by inclusion of all enterprise areas. Now the logistics has to meet a challenge to make a comprehensive contribution to achieve the target. Up to now the adaptation of the methods and instruments of Lean Production is not completely described to the logistics. A comprehensive beginning which exposes the assessment of the total expenses of the implementing of lean logistics as well as the early quantification of the probably achieved savings is to be developed.
