The Master programme
The Masters degree is the next higher professionally-qualifying university degree. In order to be admitted to a Master programme, the student must already hold a primary, professionally qualifying university degree (e.g. Bachelor or Diplom). The Masters is comparable to the former German Diplom. Students must already hold a Masters to be eligible for doctoral programmes.
Master programmes offered by the BTU are organised as follows:
- Consecutive degree programmes (Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, eBusiness, Business Administration and Engineering)
The Master builds on a primary university degree in the same subject, thereby consolidating existing knowledge and skills. It can also serve to expand knowledge gained as an undergraduate in an another, similar specialist field.
- Non-consecutive degree programmes (Biomedical Electronic Engineering, Technology and Innovation Management, Power Engineering, Processing Technologies of Materials)
In cases where the first degree was in another specialist field (interdisciplinary or unrelated subject), the Masters can be obtained in a separate specialist subject.
