The PhD Programme
The PhD programme is part of the German International Promotion Programme. This programme is a network of 50 postgraduate programmes in Germany which were supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (
DAAD). The main characteristics of the programme are the international composition of students and lecturers, a structured curriculum, short study times.
The PhD programme is composed of two parts: The graduation studies are open directly for students fulfilling the formal and scientific prerequisites for the PhD programme (German Diplom, M.Sc.) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Economics, Environmental Management or related subjects.
The preparatory studies are open for students fulfilling the scientific but not the formal prerequisites for direct admission like the FH-diploma or the B.Sc. (hon.). Technical structuring and focal points of the PhD programme are based on the same international and interdisciplinary philosophy as of the Master and the Bachelor programme.
