myBTU learning portal
The myBTU learning portal is an online learning management system to support the present courses at BTU Cottbus, and increasingly also distance education course (e.g. the Restoration Ecology Program).
The myBTU learning portal also offers the opportunity to provide the learning and teaching content based on electronic media. Media content maybe assigned to different courses and to defined user groups. The learning platform also includes instruments to support cooperative-work in learning groups and tools for the users.

The myBTU leaerning portal is based on the professional learning management system of imc AG.
The added value of the learning management system is:
- Administration and support of system components is secured BTU-central in the ICMC (Information - Communication and Mediacenter of BTU Cottbus). With this guarantee employees may be relieved.
- Ressources for local servers at the chairs at BTU Cottbus further aren'd needed.
- The learning content is only avalaible to definied users. This corresponds to act as requested of the "Urheberrechtsgesetz, § 52a, Abs. 1, Nr. 1" (german Copyright Law).
- myBTU learning portal supports online tutor-based instruction of students-groups, also a lot of possilities to self-check the learning porcess in online-tests
- myBTU learning portal supports online-communities in elearning-scenarios based on groupwise-work.
- Last but not leased myBTU learning portal supports a media-based evaluation of the offered courses.
