Profile of the Programme in Restoration Ecology
The Faculty for Enviornmental Sciences and Process Enginieering at the BTU Cottbus offers together with Dimoria College in Assam, India a Certificate Programme in Restoration Ecology. It aims at international applicants with a first qualification (Bachelor of Science) in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Emvironmental Management, Biology, Ecology, Landscape Planning, Geography, Wildlife Management, or Civil Engineering who like to enhance their knowledge in this specific field of study.
Restoration Ecology is a borderline science and connects different disciplines from the natural and socio economic sciences.
We like to impart our knowledge in environmental, ecosystem and biodiversity management as well as restoration whit a focus on the environmental media soil, water, biodiversity and landscape. Further we introduce the socio-economic and legal context of restoration. The programme also contains lessons on scientific working and project management.
