Learning Outcome: Students get familiar with important technologies for web applications and acquire the skills required for developing web applications.
Contents:
  • Model-Driven Development
  • JavaScript-based standalone web applications
  • The JavaScript/Node platform for distributed web applications
  • The PHP/Zend-Framework platform for distributed web applications
  • The Java/JPA/JSF-platform for distributed web applications
  • JavaScript/XHR-based frontends for distributed web applications
Recommended Prerequisites: Participants must have good knowledge in Java-programming and web-technologies, equivalent to module 12316 (Specification Languages and Processing Techniques for Web Documents).

Forms of Teaching and Proportion:
  • Lecture / 2 Hours per Week per Semester

  • Research paper/essay / 60 Hours

Teaching Materials and Literature: Will be distributed during the course.
Assessment Mode:
  • Project assignments (graded, 40% of marks)
  • Multiple choice tests (graded, 20% of marks)
  • Final exam (graded, 40% of marks)
50% of the marks must be achieved altogether to pass the module. Final grade is determined according to the specified mark proportions.
Withdrawal from Examination: Until the end of the seventh week of the lecture period
