Learning Outcome: To get familiar with selected concepts, architectures and technologies of e-business systems.
Contents:
  • Service-Oriented Architecure (SOA)
  • Basic Web service technologies: SOAP and WSDL
  • The Web service choreography language BPEL
  • The business process modeling language BPMN
Recommended Prerequisites: Participants must have good knowledge in Java-programming and web-technologies, equivalent to modules
  • 12316: Specification Languages and Processing Techniques for Web Documents and
  • 12431: Designing and Implementing Web Applications.

Forms of Teaching and Proportion:
  • Lecture / 2 Hours per Week per Semester
  • Exercise / 2 Hours per Week per Semester
  • Research paper/essay / 60 Hours
  • Self organised studies / 60 Hours
Teaching Materials and Literature: Will be distributed during the course.
Assessment Mode:
  • Project assignments (graded, 40% of marks)
  • Multiple choice tests (graded, 20% of marks)
  • Final exam (graded, 40% of marks)
50% of the marks must be achieved altogether. Final grade is determined according to the specified mark proportions.
Withdrawal from Examination: Until the end of the seventh week of the lecture period
