Targets and contents of the project

 
BTU Cottbus and University Zielona Góra both offer within the scope of their subject profiles very similar capacities in mathematics, computer sciences, economics and environmental sciences.

Between chairs of both universities, several cooperation agreements exist, presenting themselves in courses held at the respective partner university, in student exchange programmes, in joint research projects and in conferences.

Based on the subject profile, the support programme brings the relevant, comprehensive information resources virtually together. By means of modern retrieval and communication technique, a knowledge gate will be generated, which benefits students on both sides of the frontier. The extended knowledge and information transfer shall advantage not only both universities, but also the whole region.

The Study and Research Library constitutes an essential fundament for the cooperation between both universities, and encourages the development of the border region within the process of European integration.
